Save the Date

October 8-17, 2021

During the 10-day celebration, Oildorado hosts a variety of events. In addition to the main events that Oildorado hosts, many local clubs, businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals host their own events as well. Oildorado tries to make sure each event is represented on our calendar below. In order to be added to the calendar, an event organizer needs to register their event. Tickets for many of these events (if they require one) will also be on the registration page.

Civic Luncheon

The Civic Luncheon is the first Official Event of Oildorado and will kick-off the 10-day celebration. It will be held at the Oildorado Event Center on Friday, October 8th. Doors will open at 11:30a.m. and includes social hour, lunch, networking, speakers, and will conclude with live music by the Soda Crackers starting at 3pm. Individual tickets are $50 per person and table sponsorships are available for $2,000 per table, which include exclusive merchandise only available to sponsors at the luncheon, VIP seating, and other perks. No tickets will sold at the door. Purchase them through the store or website.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Rock Zierman, CEO of the California Independent Petroleum Association. With the ever-changing regulations and restrictions that affect the oil industry and our community, Rock Zierman will provide us with an update as to how our industry continues to move forward and adapt. Also present will be Congressman Kevin McCarthy, Senator Shannon Grove, Assemblyman Vince Fong, Supervisor Zack Scrivner, and Mayor Dave Noerr.

Former Mayor’s Luncheon & Building Dedication

The City of Taft and Oildorado host a special luncheon after the Grand Parade that honors and recognizes the Former Mayor’s of the City. In addition to this year’s luncheon, there will be a dedication of the City of Taft Transit Building and Oildorado Room.

The building and event space was completed after our 2015 event and serves as a beautiful addition next to the Oilworker Monument. The event space is aptly named for Oildorado and a logo clock adorns the top of the building.
