Athena Campos

Hello, my name is Athena Campos and I am representing and being sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Taft. I’m a junior at Taft Union High School. At Taft High, I am Vice President of the Oil Tech Academy and Vice President of the Key Club. I’m also involved in the Soroptimist Club, Garden Club, and help with Class of 2023 events. I participate on tennis, cheer, and swim teams.

I was honored to receive the Young Woman of Achievement Award by Soroptimist my 7th and 8th grade years. Freshman year I was awarded the Academic All American Water Polo Athlete Award by the National USA Water Polo Association. Some of my achievements are going to the Junior Olympics in 2019 and 2021. I also went to Valley Championships for high school swim representing Taft Union High School.

After high School I would like to attend a four year university and play water polo, then move on to play for the National USA Women’s Water Polo team. After, going to law school to become an attorney. I'm proud to be a Maid of Petroleum and represent the Taft Kiwanis Club.
